Great hotel, with fantastic staff but the food was very poor

The staff were outstanding, the rooms were large and clean. the pool area was great with the bbq providing snacks until mid afternoon.

Evening entertainment was very poor. The Buffet food was terrible and also the themed evening dinners was not great either.

Lovely

Sheyla was fantastic and really helpful..She explained the hotel and how close the beach was. I enjoyed the fact it had an indoor pool.

The place is a bit dated, not expected from a 5 ⭐

Loved how nothing was too much trouble if you approached staff

The staff are really helpful and professional. If you like lively, the location is great. Close to beaches, bars and restaurants. People are commenting not enough sun beds, but we did not find this. Even if you cannot find any straight away, they do become available. They don’t open the pool until 9, so this stops people putting towels on beds early. The hotel itself is clean.

We were all inclusive, but for me I found the quality of food not great. There was choice, but it felt like cheap food. Just my take on it. I’m sure others loved it. Also, I love my coffee, but this wasn’t great either. Just a few small changes would make a huge difference - sort out the coffee, offer sparking wine as an AI option and swap cheaper ingredients for better ones, or go Self catering Last thing, sort the sofa beds out. They need replacing with shiny new ones!

Fantastic stay, will definitely look at coming back

Fantastic hotel, loved the pool, bar and BBQ during the day, restaurants and bar in house. You get a wrist band that enables you to eat and drink all-inclusively at all their partner hotels in the area also, so lots of choice!

The sofa beds were not great for adults to sleep on.

Lovely hotel in a very good location.

The property was very welcoming with excellent staff. The burgers and drinks at the pool were excellent. The coffee was so nice especially the latte. It was in a very good location.

Our room was located beside the pool (Room 110)area which invaded on our privacy as we couldn’t open patio doors during the day and it was noisy in the room with the loud music and entertainment at the pool as this was where all the activities took place.

A good place to stay and relax. All inclusive meal plan is great value. A few areas that could improve but all are perfe

The all inclusive meal option is a no brainer offering great value. The outdoor pool area is a decent space with a bar and daily barbecue. The Gym is good spread across two rooms. There are barbells, cardio, dumbells plus multiple machines. Not many hotels can do better, but equally not at the same standard as local gym. I emphasise the gym as it was essential for me to balance the calorie intake. It’s a great place to spend a few days chilling and doing very little. Equally well located as a springboard to do exploring. The rooms are very well put together with great acoustic insulation and facilities. The food options are great, although most require you to pre book and travel to partner resorts. The buffet within the hotel is awesome with rotating menu’s and no booking needed. Local alcoholic beverages included, plus a list of cocktails. Whilst they taste watered down, there are endless refills, so no complaint from me. The staff were always helpful and kind.

The coffee included was very poor (at least very poor by Portugal’s very high coffee quality benchmark). The machines are instant coffee with powdered milk - yuck. There are much better machines the hotel could invest in that can grind coffee beans and dispense real milk. For example Machines with Delta beans and half fat milk would do the trick. If you want espresso, it’s outside the meal plan. Slip hazard: The pool area has two types of tiles. Dark orange on the east and light orange on the west. The dark tiles, are slippery when bare footed. Very slippery. I had a fall on the steps (that lack handrail) and managed a massive bruise to my buttocks. Following that I made sure to only walk on the other side with the light tiles which are non-slip, plus the stairs on that side have a handrail. The 5 euro towel rent, is just poor form. I understand the wash cycle reduction, and keeping people from taking them to the beach - but that is better achieved with a refundable bond. Importantly ‘bring your own pool towel’ should be advertised. It’s not the price but the principle. The buffet would do well to include a signature Portuguese dish each night - just one. It is after all a hotel in Portugal that did not serve a proper Portuguese cuisine meal. WiFi I found performed below average in most areas. I simply used my mobile phone’s eSim instead, so not an issue for me, but it could be for some. I didn’t use the indoor pool as it required me hiring a Cap, and honestly, I couldn’t see the point when the weather outside was so beautiful.

Enjoyed our holiday despite the issues at the pool. Would return.

Interior, bedrooms & food were excellent . Staff were extremely friendly & work very hard to make a memorable holiday.

Pool area needs to be upgraded. Several guests fell during our time there. Pool area is very compact & crowded. People reserving beds early morning & not turning up throughout the day. Nighttime entertainment isn’t great.

Surprise hit

Food was generally very good. Lots of choices with salads and vegetables. Main courses were a bit of a hotch pot and perhaps should have been focussed. Surprised that wasn’t more fish on the menu.

Spa area was a bit jaded. Sauna had bits of wood that had clearly fallen off and not been repaired. Bar area could have had a better lay out with more seating choices.

Didn’t feel that this was 5 star but we did enjoy our stay.

Nice pool ,very large well equipped rooms. Pleasant staff.

Limited drinks available on all inclusive, bar closed early for a hotel. Food was ok but not outstanding had to travel to sister hotels for variety.
